Chores that assign themselves
Set a chore once, choose who it falls to and how often it repeats, and let the reminders do the nagging. Skip, reschedule, or hand one occurrence to someone else without breaking the series.
Meals, planned and shopped
Save recipes (or import them from a link or a photo), drop them onto the week, and let the grocery list build itself. Cooking mode reads the steps and runs the timers hands-free.
Trips without the group chat
Flights, stays and plans in one itinerary, shared with whoever is coming — including people outside your household — plus a running tally of who paid for what.

Track the things in your house and what they need — filters, service intervals, warranties, manuals — so the next furnace check shows up on the calendar instead of in your memory.
Ask Calen
Describe what you need in plain language — "swim lessons every Tuesday until June", "something quick for Thursday dinner" — and Calen drafts it for you to approve. It can even ring a business to reschedule an appointment.
Your household's life isn't our business model.
Calen is end-to-end encrypted by default, for every household. Your events, recipes, trips and notes are sealed on your device before they ever reach us, and our servers hold ciphertext we cannot read. There are no ads and no advertising trackers, because there is nothing here to sell.
- Sealed on your device. Household content is encrypted with keys only your devices hold — not ours.
- Sign in with a passkey. Face ID or Touch ID instead of a password you'd reuse anywhere else.
- Recovery you control. Recovery codes, plus trusted guardians who can help you back in — without anyone, including us, seeing your data.
- The assistant sees the minimum. AI requests carry only what the question needs, and are never used to train models.

Which devices does Calen run on?
Calen is an iPhone and iPad app, heading to the App Store. There is no web version — this site is just the front door.
What does it cost?
Calen is a paid app: one purchase unlocks it for you, a few of the feature calendars are optional add-ons, and the AI assistant runs on credits with an optional monthly plan. Exact prices will be shown on the App Store listing and in the app before you buy anything.
Can I share with people outside my household?
Yes. Individual calendars and trips can be shared with people who aren't in your household, and event invitations reach anyone by email — they don't have to be a member to reply.
If it's end-to-end encrypted, how do the AI features work?
Your device decrypts only the details needed for the request you made and sends those with your question. The servers never hold the keys to your household's data, and your content is not used to train models.
What happens if I lose my phone?
You can restore access on a new device with a recovery code, or with the help of a guardian you chose in advance. Because the encryption keys are yours, that recovery step is what protects you — keep your codes somewhere safe.
